Dr Terry Brophy (Male Practitioner)
Terry graduated from Monash University in 1978. He ran a solo practice from 1980-2004 in Yarraville and Braybrook. He spent 6 years at V.M.O Williamstown hospital and 4 years at Health Scope Medical Centre in Kealba. He has recently joined our team at 28 Drummond North Medical practice.
Terry’s special interests are preventive medicine and cardiovascular disease.
On a personal note, Terry enjoys spending time on his farm, keeping fit and loves watching a good DVD (Maybe 2 or 3!).
Terry is available for his patients on Monday and Wednesdays
Dr Alana Gimpel (Female Practitioner)
Alana Gimpel is a highly experienced and skilled GP. She is passionate about holistic medicine and wellness.
Alana has additional qualifications in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, mental health, women's health and preventative medicine.
Her professional interests are working with young families, adolescents, women with peri-menopausal issues, stress reduction, weight loss, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, skin cancers, nutritional advice and executive health.
Alana believes in strong connection between body, mind and soul and treating her patients in holistic manner. She encourages her patients to see her for preventive check ups such as full body skin check, full physical examination, blood test including full blood count, cholesterol and blood sugar, pap smears. She strongly believes that prevention is better than cure.
Given additional qualifications and high quality care, Dr Alana is a private GP. However, she will bulk bill children of 16 years and younger as well as people of 70 years and older.
On a personal note, Alana enjoys meditation, mindfulness and yoga.

Dr Wayne Mc Donald
Wayne has over 25 years of experience working in family medicine in regional areas in NSW and QLD and inner-city practice in Melbourne. He has worked in Ballarat as a GP before and is returning to work part-time at this clinic.
Wayne has training in hypnotherapy and relaxation therapy to provide counselling for PTSD, anxiety and depression. He accepts referrals from other GPs under a mental healthcare plan for relaxation therapy.
Skills and special interests include treating mental health, men’s health, diabetes and heart attack prevention in general practice. Wayne practices a personal and holistic style of medical care. He enjoys working with elderly patients to get them the best results. His hobbies are learning French, driving his 2003 Porsche Boxster and gardening.

Dr Sangeeta Tewari (Female Practitioner)
Sangeeta graduated in medicine from India in 1991. She completed a Diploma in Geriatric Medicine. Sangeeta has over 15 years of experience as a General Practitioner. Sangeeta also received training in Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Obstetrics Gynaecology.
Sangeeta has special interests in Women’s Health including family planning and Mental Health.
Sangeeta speaks fluently in English, Hindi and Punjabi.

Dr Fatin Hanna (Female Practitioner)
Fatin moved to Australia with her family in 1997. Since then she has worked at the Ballarat Base Hospital Emergency department for the past 15 years and has over 8 years experience in general practice.
Fatin’s interests are chronic disease management, paediatrics, gynaecology and obstetrics.
On a personal note, Fatin enjoys sewing and spending time with family.
Fatin is available for her patients on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Dr Heather McCallum (Female Practitioner)
Heather graduated from Monash University in 1979. Heather completed residency at Geelong Hospital for 2 years. She worked at The Royal Woman’s hospital and obtains her diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She also worked 6 months rural medicine at Mount Beauty. She spent 7 years in Papua New Guinea which involved a rural mission hospital. Heather has worked at 28 Drummond north for the past 3 years. Prior to this she worked in a 2 doctor medical practice in Sebastopol.
Heather is highly experienced in all aspects of General Practice.
On a personal note, Heather enjoys bush walks and gardening.

Our Practice Nurses
Jennifer completed her general training at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
After completing her post graduate work at The Alfred, she moved to Sydney and completed her midwifery training at The Women’s Hospital- Crown Street. This was followed by a number of years working in all areas of midwifery.
Jennifer then continued on to complete her Neonatal Intensive Care Certificate at Monash Medical Centre in Clayton. After completing the course she worked in both Melbourne and Brisbane in this area. Whilst in Brisbane she was a member of the Neonatal Emergency Transport Team.
At Victoria University in St Albans, Jennifer completed her Graduate Certificate in Health Science. She has worked in most areas of acute nursing care with special interest areas being Midwifery, Emergency, Coronary Care, Adult and Neonatal Intensive Care and pre-hospital care.
Jennifer is also as qualified Nurse Immuniser.
On a personal note, Jennifer enjoys music, cooking, gardening and craft.

Patrick completed his Bachelor of Nursing at Australian Catholic University in Ballarat and commenced his nursing career in 2015 at Stawell Regional Health. During his time here, he worked in multiple disciplinary areas within the hospital.
Patrick is currently practicing at Ballarat Day Procedure Centre, joining 28 Drummond North Medical Practice on Thursdays.
Patrick is passionate about operative, surgical and procedural nursing and hopes one day to complete post graduate studies in this area.
On a personal note, Patrick enjoys restoring his period home with his fiancé.
